Sandblast - Best of Blasting : Resources for all abrasive blasting professionals

The way nature does sandblast is applied in industry to get the same results in sand blasting. Sandblast is done by using a high pressured blower to blast sand as a specific abrasive. Due to siliconiosis caused by sustained inhalation of dust during sandblast processes, sand blasting may now only be performed in a controlled environment using ventilation, protective clothing and breathing air supply.

Sandblast is a generic term for the process of smoothing, shaping and cleaning a hard surface by forcing solid particles across that surface at high speeds. Sandblast can occur naturally, usually as a result of the particle blown by the wind causing eolian erosion, or artificially, using compressed air.
