Blast cabinets - Best of Blasting : Resources for all abrasive blasting professionals

Blast cabinets can support additional equipment.

Abrasive trap
An abrasive trap is located in the dust extraction ducting of blast cabinets. It enables recovery of any usable abrasive particles that are taken out by the separator or in the air stream from the machine and thus reduces abrasive consumption and wear on dust collector filters.

Air separator principle and setting in blast cabinets.
The two functions of the air separator are:
- to keep operating mix clean by removing small contaminants such as sand, scale and spent abrasive fines,
- to keep operating mix constant by removing abrasive particles whose size is under the adjusted rejection dimension.

Dust collectors for blast cabinets
The dust collector creates a vacuum throughout the installation and collects the dust made of worn abrasive and contaminants during blasting operation.
